Sony Xperia ZL Spotted in Red

RedXperiaZL 1

Now THAT is a nice looking phone. You are looking at the red-colored variant of the Sony Xperia Z, the Xperia ZL. The Z line is their new flagship that was unveiled at CES 2013. Sony had announced the ZL would be available in red (the Xperia Z in white and black), but it was not seen on display during the event. However, this lustrous rectangle has appeared at their South East Asia launch event. Unfortunately, it has been reported by Xperia Blog that the ZL will not be available globally, and is only a prototype. However, if they are showing it off now, perhaps it will become available to buy later this year? We can dream. And hope. And drool at the gallery below.

The Xperia ZL sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 5” 1080p OptiContrast display (443 ppi), Android 4.1 Jellybean, NFC, Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, and a 13 MP camera with HDR. This phone is not quite the same as the Xperia Z, which was also showcased at CES 2013. The Z is said to have the same sized display and internal specs, but will be taller, thinner, have a glossy back, and boast a water and dust resistant surface.
