Sprint launching more LTE cities for Labor Day

Earlier this month, Sprint rolled out LTE network service to 15 ( well really 14) cities. Granted, most of these cities were either in Georgia or Texas, much to the northwest part of the US’ dismay, Sprint at least got the ball rolling. Now we have word that Sprint is planning on launching more cities with their new LTE capacities by this year’s Laboy day (Sept. 3rd — thank you Google Calendar).
Unfortunately, Sprint isn’t Verizon, who rolls our 50-city LTE upgrades at a time, and are only launching 4 cities on Labor day. Really Sprint, it takes you 2 months to upgrade 4 cities? Well, residents of Georgia will be happy as Sprint will be returning to the 4G hometown and adding LTE to two cities there. The short list is below:
- Baltimore, GA (Sprint’s first Wimax city, EVER)
- Gainesville, GA
- Junction City-Manhattan, KA
- Denison-Sherman, TX
I know that Georgia is the birthplace of Sprint’s Wimax days and all, but does that really mean they can’t expand a little. Also, when did Kansas get so famous, first Google Fiber, now this, what happened to the tornadoes and wizards? Anyways, for any of our Sprint readers out there, tell us when you receive your new network speeds and also how much you like what everyone else has been enjoying for forever.
Welcome….
