The T-Mobile ZTE Concord: (Almost) Ballin’ on a budget
Looking for an affordable, no-contract Android smartphone, without all the bells and whistles? You may be interested in the freshly announced T-Mobile ZTE Concord — Magenta’s lowest priced handset, ringing in at only $99.99 on any qualifying Monthly4G plan.
You can also opt to save a penny (literally) and link the phone with any Wal-Mart Family Mobile Plan, for $99.98 and no annual commitment.
As for specs, well, you get what you pay for — and in this case it isn’t much.
We’re looking at a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a whopping 2-megapixel camera, as well as Android 2.3 (Gingerbread, for those of you who need a refresher).
There’s no mention of the processor or RAM details, but it’s probably safe to assume this isn’t even a dual-core device. Obviously nothing of interest for the hardcore Android junkie, but a wonderful option for those who just want basic web browsing, email access or Google Maps navigation.
