Tips from the Forums: Disable Instant Upload in Google+

f 1024 1

Many thanks to AndroidSamurai from the OMG!Droid Forums for putting together this nice little how-to, shedding some light on disabling instant uploads from within the  Google+ Android application. This could come in handy for all you shutterbugs out there who take tons of pictures, but don’t necessarily want every one uploaded to Google Plus. This is also essential for saving bandwidth on those highly acclaimed “unlimited” data plans most of us are rocking these days — it doesn’t take a genius to figure out; if you take a lot of pictures and every one of them automatically uploads — your going to run out of data sooner than you’d like.

Keep reading after the break for the entire walkthrough. Thanks AndroidSamurai!

Or just set it to WiFi upload only. I like the instant upload cause it’s like a set-it-and-forget-it cloud backup and I’ll never lose pictures. However it is kinda annoying when I take a bunch in a row to get a good shot, then they all get uploaded.
