Torrent freaks unite! uTorrent Beta available on the Google Play Store!

Well it certainly took long enough to get here, and now it’s time for data usage to make your cellphone bill go out the roof.

BitTorrent has finally launched their popular uTorrent app for Android.  Previously you were limited to just remotely controlling torrent downloads on your PC from the phone.  We finally have the ability to get the downloads straight to your phone.  What’s really nice is there are no limits in place with the app for size or speed of downloads.

Just remember this is in beta, so keep the normal expectations in mind with that.  Also, it would be highly recommended to use WiFi if at all possible to avoid murdering your data plan if you’re not on unlimited.  If you manage to wrap it out within the first week of your billing cycle, that’s your fault.
