Update rolling out for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III

I’m not sure what this is and I honestly can’t even test it out myself because I’m on a custom ROM and don’t want to break anything until I know it’s safe to download, but it looks like an OTA is rolling out for the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III.

I’ve already posted a thread over on XDA to see if anyone knows what’s up, but I figured I’d drop this post to let you all know to check your system updates. Keep in mind, you should steer clear of this unless you’re running a fully-stock device, as it will more than likely leave you with a brick, or at very least, it might break your root access.

One thing is certain, the update is 94.47MB in size, and it’s most likely an updated version of Ice Cream Sandwich. I’d be shocked if it were Jelly Bean, especially since the international version hasn’t even gotten Android 4.1 officially yet.

Stay tuned. I’ll update this post as soon as I get to the bottom of this.

[UPDATED 2:39 AM]

From what I’m gathering it looks like this is an incremental update, with a brightness slider in the notification bar. Sounds interesting, but I’ll be waiting for it to get built into FreeGS3 before I flash it myself.
