Verizon’s Optimus Vu now the Intuition, still a bore

You guys remember back when I first talked about Verizon’s phablet device, the LG Optimus Vu? Well we’ve got some more details about that device, such as the name has now formally changed to the LG Intuition. The device is still weirdly shaped, and honestly I think Verizon would’ve been better going the T-Mobile route and releasing the Galaxy Note a year late.
So what’s info do we have on the Intuition that we haven’t told you, since we covered the specs earlier? Pricing — the most important aspect in a device nowadays! We’ve been told that the phablet will be $199 on contract and $549 off. It’ll be right up there with the Galaxy S 3, but is the 4:3 aspect ratio and stylus going to draw you in more than Sammy’s 2Gb of ram?
Also, if you look closely at the widget in the press photo above, the date says “9/15/12″. Now is that supposed to be the release date — Verizon has said it is supposed to be released this quarter, making September the last month possible. Or is this just a pointless date on an even more pointless device?
Be sure to be on the lookout for this device, we’ll let you know when we get our hands on one.
