Wireless charging kit now available for the Samsung Galaxy S III

PhoneArena hinted earlier today that Verizon would be receiving wireless charging battery cover kits for the Samsung Galaxy S III, well guess what? They are already in stores now! ….At least in my area.

As I was strolling through one of my local Verizon stores a earlier today, I noticed the accessory for the SGS3 shown above — and yes, I definitely took out my phone to capture a picture of it. The cover completely replaces the back that is on the phone, so you won’t be able to combine wireless charging with the flip book cover case that you may have.

The kit combines with the standard Verizon wireless charging pad that also works with Droid 4, Droid Incredible 4G LTE, Spectrum, and more. That also mean you do have to buy the charging pad with the battery cover separately. The charging pad coming in at a marked down price of 49.99$ and the cover is 39.99$ — at least it is for the S3, different phones have different prices.

Even though 90$ isn’t totally ridiculous, for that price I can’t justify why my SGS3 needs to feel like it’s too good to be like all my other devices. who need to get their fix by the wire. How about you?
